Solubility
Sodium hypophosphite is very soluble in water, in alcohol and glycerine, practically insoluble in ether.
Uses
Sodium phosphinate is used as a catalyst in different areas (acrylic polymers, electroless nickel,...).
Classification
Sodium hypophosphite is dangerous if it comes into contact with skin and eyes. When heated, sodium phosphinate becomes a flammable gas.
